The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company in Thousand Oaks is holding AEA auditions on April 14, 2012 for classically trained actors with significant experience in the performance of Shakespeare for its outdoor summer repertory season. Actors will be cast in both shows. Experience with stage combat, dance, and singing is a plus. Prepare two contrasting Shakespeare monologues, or one Shakespeare monologue, total time not to exceed 3 minutes. The season includes Much Ado About Nothing directed by Kevin P. Shakespeare By The Sea is accepting submissions for audition appointments for its summer season. Productions include Two Gentlemen of Verona directed by Margaret Schugt and Romeo and Juliet directed by Stephanie Coltrin. Both shows will play in repertory through August 11th, 2012. There is some pay. Rehearsals are at Little Fish Theatre in San Pedro. The 2012 Sacramento Shakespeare Festival will hold auditions for it summer season that runs June 29 – July 29, 2012. Productions include The Comedy of Errors and King Arthur directed by Luthor Hanson, and Shakespeare Lite and their H.S Intern Program, directed by Lori Ann Delappe-Grondin. Auditions for those who have not been cast in the festival before are Monday, May 7 at 7pm. Please bring a one minute Shakespearean monologue. Returning festival cast member and call backs are Tuesday May 8 at 7pm. Auditions will consist of cold readings and may include movement. Please bring a headshot photo, resume and schedule of conflicts. Callbacks by invitation are Wednesday, May 9 at 7pm.
