Audition Update: Macbeth – Long Beach Playhouse

Long Beach Playhouse is holding open call auditions for Macbeth May 28 and 29 from 7-10 pm. This is an AEA waiver production. Union and non-union members welcome. Ovation, LA Weekly and Cincinnati Critics award winner Blaire Chandler will play Lady Macbeth. All other roles are open. Callbacks will be held May 30, 6:30-10 pm. The production will be directed by Nicole Dominguez with fight choreography by Mike Mahaffey. Performance dates are July 21 – August 18, Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.

Macbeth is a tale of love, seduction, murder, magic, greed, betrayal and deceit that explores how powerful human emotions, when carefully manipulated, can lead us to perform unfathomable deeds. His descent into murder and betrayal is the tale of how ambition can tarnish even the purest of souls. Macbeth chillingly displays the effect our desires and deeds can have on our lives and on the lives of those we love. lbplayhouse.org
