The Harold Clurman Lab Presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream

The Harold Clurman Laboratory Theatre Company presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream for ten performances only, opening Friday, June 15th and playing Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm with two Sunday matinees at 3 pm on June 24th and July 1 at the Art of Acting Studio, 1017 N. Orange Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90036. The production closes Saturday, July 7th.

Directed by Don K. Williams, this modern dress production features cast members Jennifer Allcott, Ellen Clifford, Brian Combs, Stephanie Costa, Doug Harvey, Frank Joseph, Caroline Kinsolving, Allishia Knotts, David Lengel, Rudy Martiniez, Konima Parkinson-Jones, Steve Peterson, Michael Rachlis, Ben Rathbun, Jill Renner, Jesse Steccato, Jenn Swirtz and Ben Whalen.

Conservatives, Liberals, Punkers, Rocker Girls, Fairies, maintenance workers, Uptown, Downtown and the Central Park of Athens slam together in this production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Set in “Athens” where neo-conservative lawmakers outlaw love, punk kings, rocker queens and Clockwork Orange droogs rule the Central Park, a band of sanitation workers dream of stardom and the power of love (and “potions”) makes all right in the world.
