Audition Update: The Old Globe, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival

The Old Globe will hold Equity Principal auditions for its 2013 Summer Shakespeare Festival on December 7 and 10. The season includes Merchant of Venice and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (both directed by Adrian Noble), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (director TBA). Roles will be understudied. Prepare two one-minute contrasting contemporary monologues or two one-minute contrasting Shakespeare monologues. For a complete breakdown go to www.actorsequity.org.

San Francisco Shakespeare Festival is holding auditions for Macbeth on Monday, December 10 at Lamplighters, 469 Bryant St., San Francisco, CA 94107. They are seeking 5 Equity Actors. Some roles will likely be doubled with others. Prepare one dramatic Shakespeare monologue. A second contrasting Shakespeare piece may be requested.
