Audition Update: Sacramento Shakespeare Festival and Curtain Call Youth Theatre

Sacramento Shakespeare Festival will hold auditions for its 2014 season on April 29 (actors new to the festival) and April 30 (festival alumni and select callbacks) from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. The season includes Much Ado About Nothing, The Three Musketeers, and Shakespeare Lite, as well as their High School Intern Program. To schedule an appointment please go to this link where you will be able to choose your appointment time. All appointments are 5 minutes in length. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in. Walk-ins will be accommodated as the schedule allows. For the April 29th auditions, please prepare a classical 1-2 minute monologue and bring your theatre resume and schedule with evening and weekend conflicts; a headshot is highly recommended. Curtain Call Youth Theatre, in association with the city of Agoura Hills, will hold a second round of auditions for its Spring Teen Production: An almost-all-female version of Shakespeare’s Macbeth, set within the Steampunk Era. All roles are open to females, ages 13 to 19 (except for the three Witches and Hecate. These roles are open to males ages 13 to 19). Auditions are by appointment and will take place on Saturday, March 15 at Noon. Please prepare a Shakespeare monologue or be prepared to do a cold reading from the script (sides provided). Rehearsals will begin immediately and will be held Saturdays from 10am – 2pm and Sundays from 4pm – 7pm (not all actors will be needed for every rehearsal) and will take place at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center. The show will run June 20 – 29 playing Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm, and perform at the G-Building Theatre on the campus of Agoura High School.
