Working Barn Productions and Bontela Productions will present a six-actor, multimedia look at Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, Macbeth, directed by Peter Richards at the Edgemar Center for the Arts, October 9 – November 2.
How does a man become a monster? Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece takes us inside the troubled mind of a murderer, and charts Macbeth’s horrifying journey from war-hero to tyrant, from “peerless kinsman” to “fiend of Scotland.” With immersive multi-media and some of the greatest language ever written, this dynamic new production brings immediacy and intimacy to a dark, shocking, timeless classic.
The cast will be led by Thomas Piper as Macbeth, with Jenny Greer, Mark Rimer, Christine Sage, Evan Smith and Lucia Yamuy. The design team features set design by Yee Eun Nam, lighting design by Anna Cecilia Martin, sound design by Matthew Glenn, costume design by Jenny Foldenauer, projection design by Hana Kim and Yee Eun Nam, and fight direction by Mike Mahaffey.
