Shakespeare in LA is Going on Hiatus

Hello Everyone,

Four years ago I started Shakespeare in LA because, as much as I love Shakespeare’s plays, it was nearly impossible to find out where or when they were being performed. No central source existed online where one could go for information. So I decided to create this website – to highlight the many companies producing Shakespeare’s brilliant works and to bring a community of Shakespeare lovers together.

For the next several months, Shakespeare in LA will be on hiatus. I am not certain when I will return however, in the interim, I will continue to post news and photos periodically on Shakespeare in LA’s Facebook and Twitter pages. You can join me there for updates.

I will also continue to keep the Calendar and show list up to date here on the website so you can always find where to see Shakespeare live on stage.

In the meantime, go see a show! Make it Shakespeare. You’ll be glad you did.

Ellen, thank you for all of your fair and passionate reviews, news, interviews and funnies regarding all things Shakespeare in Southern California (and beyond). I’m grateful that you’ll be continuing the calendar and updates via Facebook and Twitter. Looking forward to however you continue to spread the word!

We have really appreciated your work over the last four years – not only have you helped us feel a part of the LA Shakespeare community, but you let us know that such a community existed!! We wish you the best of luck on your hiatus.
